3M Museum
This building is the birthplace of 3M. It was here in 1902 where five businessmen
embarked on a mining venture and laid the foundation for
a successful global corporation. Exhibits include: Attorney
John Dwan's recreated office and other artifacts; a history
of the company including photos and documents; a "lab"
area representing the establishment of research and development,
product diversification and growth; and hands-on interactive
programs and technology applications. The original office
building has been restored and is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places.
